If you’ve been following college football in this our long cold offseason of discontent, you know that Media Day for any particular conference is when the light at the end of the tunnel gets a little bit brighter and a whole lot more exciting. With the arrival of Media Day, it means that college football is just a little bit closer than it was before. So get excited, fans of MACtion, because this week is our week.

On Thursday, live from Ford Field in Detroit, the MAC football season begins its march toward a December championship. We’ll have an address from the commissioner, each and every head coach, and two student athletes from each of the member institutions. It’s really the premier MAC event each and every fall and a good way to get yourself ready for the pigskin yet to come. Will PJ Fleck bring a boat oar? Will Mike Neu bring some Mardi Gras beads? Will EMU bring $1600 mesh chairs? WHO KNOWS!

For Media Day, the Belt will be there in person, and that’s where you come in. Have something you’ve been dying to know? Need something answered that has been pressing on you for a while now from conference folks or your favorite MAC coaches and athletes? Then now is your time. The comment section is a good place to place those various quandaries so your friends at HB can deliver them to the players and coaches they are intended for.

As for us, you should definitely stay tuned to the Belt in the lead up to Media Day and all the festivities and tomfoolery day of. We’ll have some details about the who, what, when, and such as we get closer, but It’s going to be a good day of MACtion and college football, and it doesn’t get better than that.
