2017 Ball State Football Recruiting: S Malcolm Lee commits to the Cardinals

Malcolm Lee

Ball State is on fire to close out the summer. Just ask their director of player personnel.

First off, the news of Lee’s commitment came via Twitter:

Lee hails from Mobile, Alabama and currently attends Baker high school. Despite living far away from Ball State, Lee believes that Ball State is the perfect fit for him.

“Well one thing was the coaching staff. Though This is Coach Jackson's first year coaching, he has won championships at LSU and also has experience in the NFL so i know he will be teaching me the right things. Also, the vision the coaches have for my fit on the team. Not just a great football program, but they are high on academics as well, which is just as important.”

Ball State was the only program to offer Lee, however his junior highlights are rather impressive. He’s an extremely physical player who clearly has a knack for hitting opposing players hard. Lee also has experience playing on special teams which should help him see the field early in his college career. In high school Lee plays both linebacker and safety, however he tells us that Ball State plans to use him at safety and nickelback in their 4-2-5 defense.
