Coach Bonamego is rolling, both on and off the field lately. Most recently, he was able to add a 2-star defensive end into the mix.
Eli James announced his decision on Tuesday evening with this tweet:
IM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT IVE COMMITTED TO CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY TO CONTINUE MY ACADEMIC AND FOOTBALL CAREER!!!! pic.twitter.com/mioiT7w5pI

James chose the Chippewas over a reported offer from Miami. He currently is ranked a 2-star recruit by Scout while 247Sports lists him as not ranked.
At Oswego East high school, James plays both tight end and defensive end although he projects to play defensive end at CMU.
James takes up a lot of space on defense and is great at stuffing the rush. He possesses a high motor that should help him adjust to the speed of the college game.
For being relatively under-the-radar James has a lot of potential to develop into a reliable rusher for the Chippewas.
