Central Michigan is 10-3 on the season, but the story so far has been Marcus Keene. The Youngstown State transfer is averaging a nation leading 30.7 points per game. He isn’t just scoring, also pulling down 4.9 rebounds and dishing 5.4 assists. Not bad for a guy that is 5’9.
The Chippewas are not a one man show, however. Braylon Rayson, the other 5’9 guard from Texas on the roster, is averaging 17.5 points per contest. 3 other Chips average over 9 per contest. In every Central Michigan win, they have manages to score 80 points or more.
Eastern Michigan is 8-5 on the season. They are led by James Thompson IV, who is scoring 14.3 while grabbing 11 rebounds per game. Willie Mangum IV has been a scoring machine, scoring 17.2 points in 24.9 minutes per game.
The MAC West looks to be wide open, and any division game will be a huge one.
