In a few short hours, you’ll be ringing in the beginning of the new year, but it’s time now to look back on the year that was in MACtion. 2017 was quite the year in the larger sports landscape, and really the world at large, and the MAC wasn’t immune to its share of headlines, highlights, and takeaways.

There was the usual attention to football, capped by a bowl season that ended up being less than ideal. There was the belabored conversation about basketball funding and importance to the conference in general. There were talks of expansion, contraction, and general funding conversations about the MAC’s place at the table for college athletics as a whole.

That’s the conference as a whole, but what about the Central Michigan Chippewas, the team that you follow and you know best? What we’re asking as we compile the end of year various things that we do around these parts, is to get your opinion about what the Chips did great this year. What were your takeaways? What are your lasting memories of ‘17? That’s what goes in the comment section.

Below, though, we’re asking you for a letter grade for the overall athletic performance this year from CMU. Use whatever metric you like. On-field results? Community outreach? Individual sport dominance? It’s up to you, as the one who knows them the best.

So give it to us, Chips fans. What were your 2017 memories?
