Toledo leads the way with 3 invites, while Ohio and Western Michigan have 2 each.
Some interesting tidbits. If all 11 get drafted, it would tie 2005 with the most since 15 MAC players were drafted in 1976. If Corey Davis goes in the first round, as he is projected by many, he would be the 13th first rounder from a MAC school. Randy Moss is currently the only receiver from the MAC to go in the first round. Davis has a minor injury, and will not run at the combine.
Here is the full list of players
Tarell Basham, DE, Ohio Bobcats
Blair Brown, LB, Ohio Bobcats
Collin Buchanan, OL, Miami RedHawks
Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan Broncos
Kenny Golladay, WR, Northern Illinois Huskies
Treyvon Hester, DT, Toledo Rockets
Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo Rockets
Jerome Lane, WR, Akron Zips
Taylor Moton, OG, Western Michigan Broncos
Michael Roberts, TE, Toledo Rockets
Cooper Rush, QB, Central Michigan Chippewas
The combine is important for all players, but is especially so for players out of the MAC. The NFL scouts aren’t as impressed with game tape against MAC teams as they are against teams from the SEC.
The combine starts February 28th, with actual workouts starting on March 2nd.
