With the 2017 class now in the rear view mirror, Jason Candle and the Toledo coaching staff are searching the recruiting trail for their next crop of future Rockets.
Dishing out a long list of scholarship offers recently, one of the class of 2018 prospects to receive a chance to play for Candle and crew was wide receiver Antoine Green.
Starting to pick up new interest weekly, the Rockets joined the likes of Boston College, Bowling Green, and Southeastern Missouri in the pursuit of the Rockledge, Florida native on Wednesday morning.
“(Wide receiver) Coach (Mike) Bellamy and the staff talked to me, and coach Bellamy broke the news.” Green Stated to Hustle Belt soon after announcing his offer from the Rockets via his Twitter page:

“I feel truly blessed to receive an offer from Toledo. They have a explosive offense that likes to throw the ball down the field and that can put a lot of points on the board.” Green added on his scholarship from the UT staff.
A good size target at 6’3 and nearly 200-pounds, Green has shown big play potential on the high school level. As a junior at Rockledge High School (FL), the sunshine state standout pulled in 28 receptions for 522 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
With nearly a year until the class of 2018 prospects puts pen to paper and signs their national letters of intent the Toledo coaching staff currently holds two verbal pledges. While things can change, soon-to-be senior wide out Jordan Dillard (Miami,FL/Southridge), and offensive lineman Tyler Long (Holland,OH/Springfield) are penciled in as future Rockets at the moment.
