Final NFL Mock Draft: From MACtion to the Big Leagues

It should be a huge week for nearly a dozen former MAC players

The NFL draft is finally here, and it’s likely 10 or more new NFL players will come from the MAC. Corey Davis and several others are a lock to get drafted, with Davis probably going tonight in the first round. Here is where I see him, and some other MAC players getting drafted.

Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan Broncos

With the number 16 pick, there is a good chance that the Baltimore Ravens will take Corey Davis. Some other possibilities are the Cardinals at 13, or the Lions at 21. I don’t see him slipping out of the first round.

Taylor Moton, OL, Western Michigan Broncos

Moton is probably going in the second round, and I believe the Buffalo Bills will sang him with the 44th pick overall.

Tarell Basham, DE, Ohio Bobcats

60, Dallas Cowboys. The two main needs for the Cowboys are defensive back and an edge pass rusher. There are a ton of good corners and safeties in this draft. I see the Cowboys getting a steal with their first round pick from one of those two positions. That will lead to them taking Basham, who has an NFL body and loads of potential, with their second round pick.

Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo Rockets

Look for the Lions to take Hunt at 85.

Blair Brown, LB, Ohio University Bobcats

Blair Brown is the type of guy that should be roaming the middle for the Bears, and they could take him with the 111 pick early in the 4th round.

Michael Roberts, TE, Toledo Rockets

In the 5th round, I think the Lions will take Roberts with the 165th pick overall.

Kenny Golladay, WR, Northern Illinois Huskies

The Steelers have the 173rd pick, and they could take Golladay. There are several other MAC players on their radar, and they are also a possibility here.

Najee Murray, CB, Kent State Golden Flashes

The Browns have a bunch of late 5th and early 6th round picks, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they pick up Murray with one of them, in what could be the steal of the draft.

Trayvon Hester, DT, Toledo Rockets

The Lions have picks at 205 and 215 and I could see them taking Hester with either.

Storm Norton, OT, Toledo Rockets

Look for the Giants to take Norton in the 6th or 7th round.

Cooper Rush, QB, Central Michigan Chippewas

The Lions have the 250th pick, and just might take Cooper Rush from Charlotte, Michigan.
