2017 NFL Draft: Day 2 Open Chat

Corey Davis is no longer available, but there’s plenty of #MACtion left for all 32 NFL squads.

Well. That was something last night, eh?

Corey Davis went fifth overall to the Tennessee Titans after many mock drafts projected him to go somewhere between 12th and 21st in the months leading up to last night’s opening night of the NFL Draft.

Davis was perhaps the most shocking pick of the entire night, even more so than Mitchell Trubisky going second overall to the Chicago Bears or Patrick Mahones II getting selected before Deshawn Watson, who was considered the best quarterback prospect.

Tonight will see rounds two and three of the Draft and there are a few MAC-affiliated alumni to look for during the proceedings live from Philadelphia.

Tarell Basham and Blair Brown, two of Ohio’s most stalwart defensive stars, could see their names called tonight, as well as legendary Toledo Rocket Kareem Hunt. Taylor Moton, who protected Zach Terrell’s backside at Western Michigan, could also see his name called tonight.

It should be interesting to see where these prospects go in comparison to their Power Five brethren.

The proceedings start in around a half-hour at 7 p.m. EST on both NFL NEtwork and ESPN. You can watch the NFL Network stream here and the WatchESPN stream here. Both are subject to cable restrictions.
