According to a report from MGoBlue, the Michigan Wolverines have completed their future schedules for the 2018 and 2019 seasons and there’s a familiar name for MAC fans in the 2018 non-conference season.

The Western Michigan Broncos will make the trip to the Big House on Sept. 8, 2018 at the home opener for the Michigan Wolverines, who face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend to start the season on Sept. 1, 2018.

This would mark the seventh meeting between the two schools, with Michigan having won the previous six. The last time these two teams met, Michigan walked away with a 34-10 victory over WMU. That matchup featured Brady Hoke and Bill Cubit at the helm of their respective squads.

This rounds out the non-conference schedule for Michigan in 2018, as they also play Notre Dame and SMU. WMU still needs two more opponents for the 2018 season, as an away game at Georgia State is the only other confirmed matchup.

The last MAC team to face Michigan at the Big House was Akron, who had a chance to win the game on the one-yard line as time wound down and failed to convert.

It’s unknown at this time how much money this will cash the Broncos, but a number around $850,000-$1,000,000 would not be out of the park given the amount of money fellow Big Ten institutions have granted MAC money games recently.
