2017 Eastern Michigan Eagles Football: Schedule and Basic Information

As we finish up July, I am going to be putting up a quick fact sheet and schedule for each team in our beloved Mid-American conference. Bookmark it and use it as a cheat sheet for the season, I know I will.

Not many fan bases are happy with a 7-6 record, but I believe most of the Eagles faithful are exactly that. With success comes expectations. After going to just their second bowl game since moving to division 1, and their first since 1987, Eastern Michigan might just be able to go bowling 2 consecutive years.

Brogan Roback, Sr., QB: Threw for 2694 yards in 2016, including 468 against Ball State.

Ian Eriksen, Jr., RB: Ran for 771 in 2016, including 171 against Northern Illinois.

Jeremiah Harris, Jr, DE: Second Team All-MAC in 2016.

Kyle Rachwal, Jr., LB: Led team with 109 tackles. 4th team pre-season All-MAC according to Athlon Sports.

News and Notes

• I am not the only one that is impressed with the job Chris Creighton is doing at Eastern Michigan. He recently signed a 5 year contract extension. Tony Paul from the Detroit News has the story here.
• Last year was Eastern Michigan’s second winning season since 1990.
