As we finish up July, I am going to be putting up a quick fact sheet and schedule for each team in our beloved Mid-American conference. Bookmark it and use it as a cheat sheet for the season, I know I will.
The Rockets were picked to win the MAC West in the preseason poll at the MAC Media Day. Many expect them to win the entire MAC, but those expectations are nothing new. Unfortunately for the Rockets, they haven’t won the MAC since 2004.

News and Notes
- While the Rockets return a lot of talent, they lost a lot, too. Kareem Hunt (3rd Round), Michael Roberts (4th), and Treyvon Hester (7th) were all taken in the NFL draft. Storm Norton was given a contract, and 4 others were invited to mini-camps.
- The offense averaged over 517 yards per game last season, a Rockets record.
