Miami RedHawks at Central Michigan Chippewas: How to watch, game time, stream, open thread

The opening stanza of MACtion for CMU and Miami

At the beginning of the season, there were two trendy picks to win the Mid-American Conference, and both will open their MAC season today when the Miami RedHawks travel to Mount Pleasant to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas.

For the Miami-Ohio Redhawks, this game is an opportunity to bounce back after a demoralizing loss last week to the Cincinnati Bearcats. The late-game mistakes and mismanagement left a fanbase asking some very tough questions about the possibility of this team being one that’s capable of contending for a conference title or one that’s going to end up another “wait until next year” squad.

The Chips are hoping to justify the preseason hype they garnered, coming into today’s game at 2-1 with a very up and down season under their belt. After needing overtime to defeat FCS Rhode Island to open the season, the Chips knocked off Kansas and then got blown out by Syracuse. It’s anyone’s guess what kind of Chippewas team shows up, apparently.

For both Miami and CMU it’s a chance to start the conference season off with a bang and a building block for their hopeful trip to Detroit.
