It seems like every year there are multiple teams that disprove the theory that there’s a huge divide between the FCS and FBS. It makes the argument that the upper-tier FCS programs are at minimum competitive with middling G5 squads if not lower-tier P5 programs.
On Saturday, the Mid-American Conference is going to get their chance to prove that there is still a gap between their member institutions and the FCS programs that make up the Saturday slate. Five games, none of which should be trouble, but all of which could be as we’ve seen in prior years. No one in the MAC is immune to upsets like this and for the five on the docket today, they are hoping they don’t make national news for all the wrong reasons.
