Buffalo and Central Michigan Receive Votes in Latest Women’s Basketball Coaches Poll

Their game against each other next week is looming large!

Kenneth Bailey

The USA Today Women’s Basketball coaches poll came out today. In a bit of a shocker, both the Buffalo Bulls and the Central Michigan Chippewas received votes. The Bulls picked up 3 votes, while the Chippewas picked up 2. Both teams are sitting at 15-3 on the season.

As fate would have it, both teams are off until Saturday, when Buffalo takes on Eastern Michigan while CMU takes on Western Michigan. If the Bulls and the Chips win, it will set up a showdown on Wednesday, the 31st between the two squads. A win in that game could end up setting the stage for an actual ranking, and not just receiving votes.

The latest RPI has Buffalo at 20 while CMU is 39.
