The Toledo Rockets announced that they have accepted an invitation to the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl that will be played on Friday, December 21st at 12:30 PM. Their opponent will be the Florida International Panthers.

The Panthers are 8-4 and also lost to the Miami Hurricanes. Their other losses were to Florida Atlantic, Indiana, and a close loss to Marshall in their season finale. The Butch Davis coached squad is solid on both sides of the football.

This will be the 4th meeting between the two teams, with the Panthers holding the edge 2-1, including their last meeting in the 2010 Little Ceaser’s Pizza Bowl, where they won 34-32.

This will be the Rockets 5th consecutive bowl appearance, and their 8th out of the last 9 seasons. They won 7 games the year they missed. It’s a MAC life.
