Ball State, which was probably a couple of wins, or even one big non-conference win, away from making the NCAA, was the automatic qualifier. The Cardinals finished the season 24-6 on the season.
As for the at-large choices, Miami was first, simply because the list was released alphabetically. Megan Duffy gets credit for turning this squad around, but of course it’s the players that actually win the games.
Toledo finished the season with a 17-14 record, and earned the invite.
We at Hustle Belt wish all three teams the best of luck as they continue to increase the prestige of the conference. With the number of talented younger players on all three teams and throughout the league, this is really a special time to follow MAC Women’s Shooty Hoops.
