Ball State vs Central Connecticut State: Game Time, TV, Streaming, Odds and More

Everything to know for Thursday’s season-opener

Riley Neal, Cardinals (Andrew Mascharka The Eastern Echo)

Guess what.... it’s football time finally! Sure there was an appetizer last weekend of some pigskin, but this weekend is what we’ve all been waiting for. It’s a three-day bonanza of college football and for those of you of the MAC persuasion, it starts this evening with the fighting football Cardinals of Ball State University taking on Central Connecticut State. It’s a FBS/FCS tilt, but it’s far from a lopsided tale of the tape.

CCSU comes in to tonight’s game a coach’s poll selection to win their conference and fresh of an FCS playoff berth. Ball State on the other hand is off a 2-10 season plagues by injuries and a significant amount of questions to open this year regarding the current regime. Alum Mike Neu enters his third year as head coach and there needs to be results to ingratiate himself as a coach AND a player with the small but vocal Cardinal fanbase.

Be sure to check out Jordan Rinard’s preview here.
