Sometimes you only need one picture to tell the story.

In a game that I thought Eastern Michigan would get blown out, Eastern Michigan managed to edge out a victory. With Mike Glass III sidelined, Eastern Michigan called for the services of Preston Hutchinson. He delivered by going 31 for 36 for 357 yards. He managed to connect for three touchdowns, including the one that would end up being the game winner. Shaq Vann came into the game to rush for 97 yards. Eastern Michigan would managed to combine for 140 yards on the ground.

John Wassink was mortal in this game. He was 15 for 24 for 192 yards. Western Michigan did manage to run for 167 total yards with LeVante Bellamy providing 113 of those yards.

The key play of the game came with 36 seconds left on the clock. Preston Hutchinson connected with Mathew Sexton for the 34 yard strike. Eastern Michigan would convert for two points on a reverse with Jairus Grissom getting the score.

Eastern Michigan sealed the deal when Jeff Hubbard intercepted a John Wassink pass at the 28 second mark. Eastern Michigan did enough to bleed the clock in its ensuing possession to secure the victory.
