I got a late start to the game tonight, so I only got to shoot the second half. Apparently the first half was better because Eastern Michigan was leading by 12 points at the half. Ball State managed to cut that lead significantly but could never find itself on the winning side of the ledger again.
The hero of the game was James Thompson IV. He had 20 points and 23 rebounds. Depending on how things shake out over the weekend, it may be his last game at the Convocation Center and I will have to say it was nice watching him grow as a player and he will be another one that I will miss seeing play. Paul Jackson was able to add 17 points for the Eagles in a pretty good night.
Ball State’s leading scorer was Tahjai Teague with 15 points.
Eastern Michigan will take the trek down US-23 to face off against the Toledo Rockets on Friday night. Ball State will host the Ohio Bobcats on Saturday.
Anyway, pictures.
