Game Day is finally here!

All across Mid-America, thousands of fans are getting the tailgating essentials together to prepare for a night of our favorite past-time: MAC football.

The list of essentials is pretty common across the board: a tent with a lot of shade, lawn chairs, a couple yard games, the grill, and (definitely) some beers from the Belt Beer Garden. Tailgates are some of our most exciting social gatherings. We get to meet old friends, make new ones and enjoy the revelry of the college football season.

Really, the only thing that can make it better? Some kickin’ music!

That’s why we’ve assembled together submissions from both the staff and the audience to properly get us hyped for gameday festivities in this week’s edition of Shuffle Belt. Enjoy the embed below!

(If your embed doesn't work, follow this link.)

This week’s submissions were from:

  • Steve Helwick: “Come With Me Now” by KONGOS, “Kernkraft 400” by Zombie Nation, “Party Hard” by Andrew W.K., “Let It Rock” by Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil’ Wayne, and “Fireball” by Pitbull ft. John Ryan
  • James H. Jimenez: “Distortion” by BABYMETAL, “Pursuit of Happiness (Project X Remix)” by Kid Cudi, Ratatat, MGMT and Steve Aoki, “Dreams and Nightmares” by Meek Mill and “WIN” by Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar
  • Dave Drury: “Thunderstruck” and “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” by AC/DC
  • Keith Gregorski: “Back In The Mud” by Bubba Sparxxx
  • Twitter user @busleaguehockey: “The Game” by Motorhead and “Kickstart My Heart” by Motley Crue
  • Twitter user @chaseruttig: “Down With The Sickness” by Disturbed
  • Twitter user @callmebednard: “Natural” by Imagine Dragons
  • Twitter user @kurtwiz: “Rum & Redbull” by Beanie Man ft. Future Fambo

We do want to credit a couple readers who submitted songs that weren’t on Spotify servers, including Twitter users @Ash_Lynne6 and @twpatton34, who submitted NaPalm’s “The Hard Way” and an Ohio University Marching Band cover of “Long Train Runnin’”, respectively.

Be on the look out for more playlists as the weeks progress by following us on Spotify!
