MAC Inside 'Er Meghan McCain's Week 3 Gambling Picks

1080x360.0.0.jpeg

Can I just talk for a minute about how I went 7-2-1 last week in my picks? It's true. And as a Republican, I feel I'm not getting the credit I deserve for the best day of picking this side of the (legal) Mexicans my family hires to harvest our vineyard every spring.

However, let me say that I feel like this week's slate of games is much tougher than last week, much like me trying to get over the death of my father, a Republican and a war hero.

But, with as good as my picks are, remember, I went 10-0 last week and anyone who tells you otherwise is fake news.

So let's get to this week's selections. All spreads are found courtesy of sportsplays.com and not whatever terrible site Hustle Belt and SB Nation are affiliated with and forced to post lines from.

Miami +17.5 at Cincinnati

Oof, tough one right out of the gate. Miami has played well in its first two games, and I don't think Cincy has the offense to run away, give me the Red Hawks.

Eastern Michigan +7 at Illinois

Another tough one, Illinois is 2-0 but I don't think they're that impressive. That said, I think the Illini are good enough to win by more than a TD at home, give me Illinois.

Florida Atlantic at Ball Sate +2.5

I love home underdogs, almost as much as I love seeing poor people have to worry about how they are going to pay for their medical coverage. Give me the Cardinals.

Akron at Central Michigan -1

Sheesh, these games are brutally tough. With CMU down it's starting QB and RB, I think I will take the Zips on the road in this toss up.

Louisiana Tech at Bowling Green +11.5

Remember what I said about home underdogs, keep it going. Falcons please.

Buffalo -6 at Liberty

Dang a road MAC favorite? That said, Liberty (the school and not my correct Republican values) are trash, so the Bulls take this one easy.

Ohio +5 at Marshall

Marshall is a tough team who hung around with Boise State to the end, while Ohio fucked me (As a Repubilcan, this is first time I've ever had sex outside marriage) against a lousy Pitt team last week. Thundering Herd.

Georgia State at Western Michigan -8.5

I don't know what to make of Georgia State, who looked great against Tennessee then barely beat Furnam. WMU is fresh off a pantsing at MSU last weekend, but blew out it's FCS patsy. I guess WMU, but I don't feel good about it.

Murray State at Toledo -40

Again, I don't trust any MAC team to win by 40, even a great one like Toledo. Racers I reckon.

Northern Illinois +14 at Nebraska

I don't know what to think of either of these teams. I guess Nebraska.
