2019 MAC Football Week 4 Game Recap: Central Connecticut Blue Devils at Eastern Michigan Eagles

It was a wild game in Ypsi.

The Blue Devils started the scoring after a pretty well executed drive that was capped by a one yard run from Enyce Walker. They were able to make the two-point conversion to get an eight-point lead at the 8:43 mark. Eastern Michigan struck back with a drive capped by a 48-yard pass from Mike Glass to Arthur Jackson. The Chad Ryland extra point, brought the score to 8 to 7. Central Connecticut ended the corner with a drive capped off by a 10-yard run from Tyshaun James. The kick meant that Central Connecticut would get a 15-7 lead.

Eastern Michigan would strike back after a 25-yard pass to Quian Williams. They would not make the two point conversion. Eastern Michigan would bring their score to 21 points after Mike Glass III connected with Hassan Beydoun at the 30 second mark.

Neither team would score in the third quarter. Eastern Michigan would strike again at the 11:36 mark after Quian Williams found the endzone after a Mike Glass pass. At that point, the game was delayed due to lightning strikes in the area.

After the game resumed, the Blue Devils hit paydirt with a drive capped off by a one-yard run from Keonte Lucas. The Blue Devils would take a 29-28 lead after a pretty sweet pass from Aaron Winchester to Tyshaun James. You read the rest of the story.

Mike Glass was once again pretty solid, going 26 for 39 for 279 yards. He threw four touchdowns and two picks. Eastern Micigan’s ground game was led by Willie Parker for 51 yards and a total of 94 yards. Quian Williams was the Eagles leading receiver with 115 yards.

Central Connecticut’s quarterback was also pretty solid. He was 17 for 22 for 231 yards. He threw 1 touchdown and no picks. Thier ground game was led by Keonte Lucas with 51 yards. They finished wtih 115 yards total on the ground. Their leading receiver was Tyshaun James with 118 yards.
