2020 MAC Recruiting Roundup: Week of November 20

NIU is putting in work on the recruiting trail and a RB/LB has the attention of many in the MAC in this week’s Roundup.

Team Commitments (per 247Sports)

The Northern Illinois Huskies made some serious noise on the recruiting trail this week as Antario Brown and Muhammed Jammeh both committed. Brown is the highest rated player of NIU’s class as a three-star RB out of Georgia, while Jammeh is a 6’2” CB out of Detroit.

Akron: 8 commits, one decommit in November

Ball State: 19 commits

Bowling Green: 12 commits, one in November (Julius Sims)

Buffalo: 18 commits

Central Michigan: 17 commits

Eastern Michigan: 9 commits

Kent State: 12 commits

Miami: 21 commits, one in November (Henry Hesson)

Northern Illinois: 22 commits, two in November (Antario Brown, Muhammed Jammeh)

Ohio: 13 commits, one decommitment in November

Toledo: 20 commits

Western Michigan: 18 commits

Recruiting Battle to Watch

On this week’s Battle, we take a look at look at an athlete out of a storied program in Chicago that has offers from half of the MAC. Kenenna Odeluga, a 6’, 200 lbs. prospect out of Mount Carmel, currently has 13 offers, including ones from Ball State, Bowling Green, CMU, NIU, Toledo, and WMU. As you can see on his Hudl film, Odeluga has great acceleration, vision, and power as a RB to go with some pass-catching skills. He’s probably too short to be an LB in college, but he can be a quality back after a year or two in a strength and conditioning program.

Fire Recruiting Graphic of the Week

For this week’s Graphic of the Week, the Western Michigan Broncos are coming in hot as they celebrate Dwayne Eskridge getting the nod for the Senior Bowl. The team at WMU packed in a lot of detail into it without it being too much; it’s really impressive work. As always, feel free to submit nominees for Graphic of the Week to @MAC__Crootin.
