How to Watch/Stream/Listen: Western Michigan Broncos at Akron Zips

The Zips and Broncos meet up in the Rubber City to kick off their respective seasons.

James H. Jimenez

The Western Michigan Broncos and Akron Zips meet up in Akron, Ohio, for the second of two streaming-exclusive MAC kickoff games in the “early” broadcast window.

The Zips come into this matchup looking for a win, which would be their first since Oct. 2018 (vs. Central Michigan) and their first under second-year head coach Tom Arth, who led the Zips to an 0-12 campaign in 2019.

The Broncos look to start off the 2020 season on the right foot as they try to make up for the ending of the 2019 campaign, which saw them lose a near-guaranteed trip to Detroit thanks to a blown lead vs. NIU. They also look to show growth from a painful bowl loss to WKU in the First Responder Bowl.

The weather in Akron is expected to be perfect, with clear conditions and temps at about 59 degrees throughout, per Weather.com. WMU comes in as a 17-point favorite, with an over/under of 52.5, per OddsShark.
