After losing their first seven MAC games, Eastern Michigan has won four of its last five games to have a 4-8 record in the MAC. With six games left in the season, I’m not sure if they can get themselves a bye in the MAC Tournament, but I think they still have a chance of hosting the first game.
Anyway, Eastern Michigan started the game pretty strong and had a 13 point lead at the beginning of the first half. This was the result of 57.69% shooting from the field and going 7 for 13 from three point land. In the second half, they fell to 48% shooting and did not get any three pointers, but their lead was big enough that it did not seem to matter. Boubacar Toure led Eastern Michigan in scoring with 17 points. Brandon Johnson led Western Michigan with 17 points.
Eastern Michigan hosts Kent State on Tuesday. Western Michigan hosts Akron also on Tuesday.
