Recruiting Battle to Watch
For this week’s recruiting battle, we’re going to the trenches to look at a huge offensive tackle that has the interest of a handful of teams from the MAC. Ryan Stewart, a 6’5”, 240 lbs. product from Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, Ill., boasts ten offers, including ones from Eastern Michigan, Kent State, and NIU. A state champion in his junior year, Stewart is a force on the OL, as you can see on his Hudl film. Although he’s a little light for his position, he has great leg drive, is athletic enough to pull, has good hand placement, and is a good finisher in the run game. The only thing that would concern me about Stewart as a recruiter is pass protection since he’s not asked to do much of it, but he has all the tools physically to be a solid starter in college (after a year or two in the weight room).

This week’s Graphic of the Week comes to us from Miami, and it’s strong graphic at that. You have the bricks and the outline of the campus, as well as things on the side that aren’t too much (like the 16 championships and “Love and Honor”). As always, feel free to submit nominees for Graphic of the Week to @MAC__Crootin.
