Team Commitments (per 247Sports)
The colors on the trees are changing and so is the commitment status of potential recruits of several teams in the MAC. 6’4”, 235 lbs. DE Karl Odrick is bringing his big frame to BSU, while three-star S Willie Jones bolstered the defensive backfield of Bowling Green. A pair of three-star TEs are taking their talents north as Alec Palella committed to CMU and Carter Evans committed to EMU. At 6’6”, 280 lbs., OT Brandon Mackinnon brings a lot to the table (literally) to NIU while Toledo had a decommitment in the past week.
Akron: 8 commits
Ball State: 18 commits, one in September (Karl Odrick)
Bowling Green: 11 commits, one in September (Willie Jones)
Buffalo: 18 commits
Central Michigan: 16 commits, one in September (Alec Palella)
Eastern Michigan: 8 commits, one in September (Carter Evans)
Kent State: 12 commits

Northern Illinois: 21 commits, one in September (Brandon Mackinnon)
Ohio: 7 commits

Recruiting Battle to Watch
For this week’s recruiting battle, we’ll take a look at an Ohio QB that’s on the radar of almost half of the MAC. Connor Ashby out of Hoover High School has seven offers, including ones from BG, CMU, KSU, Miami, and Toledo. At 6’1” and 175 lbs., he’s not going to be a heavily recruited QB but his Hudl tape is what makes him stand out as he threw for 1,970 yards and 27 touchdowns in his junior season. Ashby’s ball location is fantastic and he’s athletic enough to contribute in the run game. If he’s able to add weight and learn to make quick decisions based on a read of the defense, he’ll be a solid college starter.

We’ve got a strong entry this week from EMU for the Fire Graphic of the Week. The refridgerator magnets are such a good look, it’s probably my favorite graphic so far this year..As always, feel free to submit nominees for Graphic of the Week to @MAC__Crootin.
