The Ohio Bobcats traveled to Buffalo on Fridan night in order to play the Bulls and it took them the entire 40 minutes to decide the game, with the Bobcats ultimately squeezing out the game by a final score of 76 to 75 over the Buffalo Bulls.
The final minute of action was a furious one, as the Bulls took the lead with 40 seconds remaining after the layup by Josh Mballa. The Bobcats would attempt to retake the lead. but Ben Vander Plas missed the layup. Fortunately, Dwight Wilson was able to scoop up the offensive ball and sink the layup to go up 76 to 75. The Bulls tried to take the lead back but the missed jumper by Jeenathan Williams would be scooped up by Dwight Wilson. He was fouled and he missed the first point to set up the second point. The rebound was picked up by the Bulls’ Jayvon Graves. He would pass it Ronaldo Segu who missed the three-pointer that would have won the game for the Bulls.
The leading scorer and person who sank the game winning shot for the Bobcats was Dwight Wilson with 21 points. He shot 80% from the field, but was only 5 for 9 from the charity stripe. He was followed by teammate Ben Roderick with 17 points.
The Bulls’ leading scorer was Jayvon Graves with 18 points. He was 7-of-11 from the floor and 3-of-4 from three point range. He was followed by Jeenathan Williams with 14 points.
The Bobcats are now 10-6 for the season and 6-4 in the MAC. They will travel to Mount Pleasant on Tuesday night where they will play the Chippewas. The Bulls are 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the MAC. They will travel to Muncie, Indiana where they will play the Ball State Cardinals.
