We’ve made it through another week folks! Happy Friday. We hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. There was a lot going on this week in the world of the MAC, and we’re happy to break it all down for you as we head into the weekend.
In this week’s A block, Zach and Sam recap some of the biggest headlines in the conference from this past week. In a move that was a little bit surprising to both hosts, the conference announced that a limited number of tickets would be sold for the upcoming MAC basketball tournament in Cleveland. The boys also touch on the fact that another handful of games were postponed this week, which begs the question - how is the MAC going to make up all of these games? Will they be able to? Zach and Sam give their thoughts.
Elsewhere in the news, CeCe Hooks of Ohio and Daeqwon Plowden of Bowling Green hit major milestones this week. On the gridiron, there was some unfortunate transfer news out of Kent State, as program stalwart Matthew Trickett announced he would finish his college career at Minnesota.
In the B block, the boys give a full run down of the week that was in men’s and women’s hoops. Taking a quick look at the current standings, there are some great potential match up’s for the first round of the MAC tournament. Will the standings hold? We’ll have to wait and see. In men’s hoops this week, Ball State got a huge victory over Toledo, while Akron continued it’s rise and Bowling Green continued it’s free fall. It will certainly be an interesting few weeks on the men’s side of the conference.
In women’s hoops, Bowling Green continued it’s impressive form as of late, picking up two nice wins. Northern Illinois also continued their strong play, as they knocked off Ball State in Muncie and have now won eight of nine.
As always, thanks for stopping by folks. We wouldn’t be able to keep doing this without all of the love and support we get from the MAC community. By now, you know the drill.
