Happy Friday folks! It was another big week in the MAC, and we’re excited to recap it for you on this weeks’ pod.

In this week’s A block, Zach and Sam break down the big news from around the conference this week. Akron, WMU, and Kent State all added new talent via the portal this week, and the boys also highlight the destinations of some of the players who have decided to leave their respective MAC programs. Elsewhere in the news, Justin Turner became the all time leading scorer for Bowling Green men’s hoops earlier this week in the Falcons’ loss to Western Michigan. Just up the road in Toledo, AD Mike O’Brien announced his upcoming retirement after 20 incredibly successful years leading the Rockets. In more football news, Zach and Sam highlight the MAC standouts who have been thus far invited to the upcoming NFL combine. To close out the A block, the boys take to Twitter to see how the MAC universe has taken to the elimination of divisions in basketball this year.

Moving onto the hardwood, the boys take a look at the current standings and see how the brackets would shake out if the conference tournaments started tomorrow. As things stand now, there would be some GREAT first round match-up’s in Cleveland, on both the men’s and women’s side. In men’s hoops this week, Toledo continued to prove they’re the class of the conference, while Bowling Green continued their recent free fall. On the women’s side of things, Central Michigan and Ohio both picked up nice wins, while Northern Illinois continued their recent streak of quality play. As has become tradition around these parts, the boys give their “must see” games of the week ahead.

As always, thanks for stopping by folks. We’re a month away from March Madness, so we’ll really be ramping up our hoops coverage over the next few weeks. Be sure to subscribe on your preferred podcast platform to make sure you’re not missing anything! We appreciate the continued support, everybody. Have a great weekend!
