In Pictures: Western Michigan Broncos vs. West Virginia Mountaineers

The MAC soccer season is in bloom, and both WMU and WVU were up to the task on Sunday afternoon.

It was a beautiful spring day in Kalamazoo, Michigan, as the Western Michigan Broncos and West Virginia Mountaineers met on the pitch to do battle in a men’s soccer conference clash on Sunday afternoon.

It was the Broncos who ultimately came out on top, courtesy of a 1-nil victory over the visiting Mountaineers, and it was a proper corker (as the Brits would say), with WMU forward Dylan Sing scoring his first goal of the season to give the Broncos an early first-half lead.

In the late going, WMU fell to 10 men after a player was ejected for a poor tackle, and it was up to the last minute heroics of goalkeeper Issac Walker to sealed the game, as he made two excellent saves in the waning moments to preserve the win.

WMU is now 3-1 (1-1 MAC) in season play, while WVU suffered their first loss of the season to fall to 2-1 (1-1 MAC.)
