Folks! We made it! FOOTBALL IS BACK! It sure is a beautiful thing. We got a little taste of it last Saturday (sorry if you’re a Nebraska fan), but this week is the first full slate of the season. We hope you all have your schedules cleared, because we have five straight days of college football lined up in front of us. You absolutely love to see it.
On the pod this week, Zach and Steve take a look at the biggest games of the weekend in the MAC. Many MAC teams have question marks heading into the season, and there is a strong slate of opponents on deck. There will certainly be no time for slow starts.
The boys attempt to answer some questions that each squad is facing. If you’re a Bowling Green fan, what type of performance do you need to see from the Falcons against Tennessee to inspire confidence? BG is a massive underdog, and certainly appear to be overmatched on paper.
If you’re Akron, where is the offense going to come from? The Teon Dollard news was a major blow to the Zips, and the timing makes it even worse as Tom Arth’s squad heads to Alabama to take on Auburn on Saturday night.
Can Ohio knock off a P5 foe in Tim Albin’s first game? Can Kent State slow down the Texas A&M rushing attack? Can Miami break Cincinnati’s 14 game winning streak in the Battle of the Victory Bell? We won’t pretend to know the answers to any of these questions, though we can certainly give our best guesses.
As always, thanks for stopping by this week folks. Stop back next week for a full recap of week one, as well as a preview of week two. Have a great weekend folks! Happy football season!
