Eastern led the whole game in a one-sided affair.

Eastern Michigan had a pretty good all-around performance on Saturday afternoon to post a 59-21 win over the visiting Texas State Bobcats.

Eastern Michigan quarterback Ben Bryant was 20-of-33 for 228 yards with three touchdowns and no picks to propel the Eagles in their victory. He also ran for 64 yards and one touchdown. RB Darius Boone contributed 84 yards to the total 242 rushing yards, with seven different Eagles reaching the endzone.

Texas State QB Brady McBride had a decent game, going 16-of-25 for 187 yards, with three touchdowns and no picks. He was sacked four times. Brock Sturges was the leading rusher for the Bobcats with 68 yards.

In addition to the four sacks, Eastern Michigan had five tackles for loss. They held the Bobcats to 112 yards rushing and 187 yards passing. They had no interceptions, but did recover one fumble.

Like I said, it was a good overall performance by the Eagles and should be a good warmup as they travel to DeKalb, Illinois to face the Northern Illinois Huskies. That game will be at 2:30 Eastern time on Saturday, October 2.
