MLS Hustler of the Week: Evan Bush, Montreal Impact Goalkeeper

Your favorite MLS award that goes exclusively to those players who hail from your favorite college athletic conference. This week, it goes to Evan Bush, the goalkeeper from the Montreal Impact. *Cue lots of fancy french words and maple syrup dripping from the awnings of Saputo Stadium.*

I know you all have been anxiously awaiting the second incarnation of my weekly award and wah-la (is that how you spell that?) it's here!

This week's MLS Hustler of the Week is Evan Bush of the Montreal Impact.

The award goes to Bush for a number of reasons this week. Many other former Zips played pretty poorly this week, with some putting in respectable - but not particularly good - shifts. He plays in Canada, don't know if you've ever tried but it's pretty hard to watch those games, so I'm showing the Great White North some love. Finally, he kept an incredibly dynamic and dangerous New England Revolution side at bay for his first clean sheet of the season.

This becomes even more respectable when you figure in the fact that the Impact had to play the last half hour with 10 men after defender Hassoun Camara received his second yellow when he pulled down Juan Agudelo.

After a season where Montreal accumulated the least points in all of MLS and accounted for the worst goal differential, it looks to be another long season for the Impact. But if Bush can keep up this form, maybe he can help Montreal push for a playoff spot in a relatively soft Eastern Conference.
