Former Akron star Wil Trapp has reportedly been invited to the Jaunary camp of the U.S. men's national team, according to MLSsoccer.com
A source told MLSsoccer that other Crew SC players Ethan Finlay and Tony Tchani join Trapp in January camp.
Trapp received his first invite to the senior national team camp last January, just before he made his senior debut against Chile on Jan. 28.
He was limited at both club and country level by a concussion that he suffered in March, but he was a key part in Columbus' charge to the MLS Cup final. Trapp had three assists this season and played in 19 games for Crew SC this season.
He also served as the captain of the American team in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup after playing at the U-14, U-15 and U-18 level.
Other Akron players likely to attend January camp include Perry Kitchen and Darlington Nagbe.
DeAndre Yedlin is likely to be busy playing for Sunderland.
