2015 Ball State Football Recruiting: 3-star DT Kevin Thurmon commits to the Cardinals

Coach Lembo and his staff received some good news on Thursday night. Ball State landed a huge commitment in 3-star defensive tackle Kevin Thurmon.

Thurmon chose Ball State over listed offers from Austin Peay, BGSU, Cincinnati, EMU, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Before he announced his decision, Kevin was able to narrow his choices down to Ball State and EMU. Kevin took official visits to both schools and ultimately decided that the Cardinals were the best fit for him.

The 6-foot-3 260 pound defensive tackle announced his decision on his Twitter page.

Thurmon provides a huge lift to Ball State's recruiting class as he joins 3-star defensive back Armani McNulty as well as 19 other recruits in the 2015 recruiting class. When chatting with Armani a few weeks ago, he told HustleBelt that him and Kevin really hit it off during the official visit.

Look for Thurmon to see the field very early in his career at Ball State.
