Gabe Martin is now officially a member of the Arizona Cardinals after they signed him as an UDFA
Martin has been a staple in the Bowling Green linebacking core for all four years of his eligibility. He became a starter his sophomore year and earned First Team All-MAC honors after having a team high 70 tackles.
As a junior he was named to the Second Team All-MAC even though he missed the last seven games of the season after he tore his ACL. He came back for his senior year and didn't miss a beat. He was named a team captain and started all 14 games. He led the team with 118 total tackles and led the MAC with 18 TFLs. Somehow he only made the Second Team ALL-MAC.
He wasn't very high on most draft boards but our friend Dan Kadar over at Mocking the Draft had him as one of his eight sleepers.
Martin doesn't have the desired height or weight that most teams want in their outside linebackers at 6-1, 226 pounds. That being said he is still very athletic and has an extremely high motor.
