2015 Central Michigan Recruiting: LB Michael Oliver

The third commit in CMU's 2015 class comes from a program that's featured plenty of success with producing Division I college linebackers recently. Detroit power Cass Tech High saw three starting linebackers graduate and move on to the FBS ranks a season ago (one to Michigan State, two to Buffalo). Now a senior, and starter, current Cass Tech linebacker Michael Oliver has already ensured the linebacker corps FBS pipeline continues.

Oliver pledged his allegiance to CMU back in late March, the third Detroit-area prospect to pledge to the school by that point in time.

At 6-foot, 233 pounds with a 4.6 40-yard-dash, Oliver has the potential to be an absolute monster in CMU front seven. He's versatile, having played both OLB and MLB during his time at Cass Tech, and is a physical punishing type.

The Chippewas have seen some success from their linebacker corps recently, and Oliver appears to have the tools to help the program continue to limit the run and rush the passer.
