2015 Eastern Michigan Football Recruiting: QB Brian Alsobrooks Commits to Eagles

While Brogan Roback is only a sophomore, it's unclear how he will fit into new EMU head football coach Chris Creighton's plans for the future of Eagle football. Just in case Roback isn't the star quarterback of EMU's future, Creighton has found a more than qualified option for the years ahead in 2015 Livonia Churchill (Livonia, Michigan) High School product Brian Alsobrook.

Alsobrooks committed to Eastern Michigan earlier this week, announcing his decision on Twitter.

The 6-foot-2, 215 pound right-hander is currently ranked 2 stars (247Sports composite) and is considered a Top-50 prospect in his home state of Michigan. He has a solid frame for a high school senior, and a more than capable arm.

He's listed as a pro-style quarterback, but has some wheels, and isn't afraid to lay out a solid block when neccesary (his first highlight involves him doing just that). He currently pulls triple duty at Livonia, running the offense, punting and kicking, but it's unlikely he'll continue his punting and kicking rolls at EMU, except for possibly partaking in the occasional trick play.

He need some work with his footwork, and his throwing mechanism isn't flawless, but he's a solid quarterback prospect who appears capable of developing into a good Mid-American Conference quarterback.
