In Week 3 of this college football season, Eastern Michigan travels to Norfolk, Va. to face Old Dominion for the first time in school history. After a crushing 65-0 loss to Florida in Week 2, the Eagles (1-1) look to get back on track with a win over the Monarchs.
The biggest test for the Eagles will be stopping the big plays. EMU has allowed 14 plays over 30 yards, eight of them resulting in touchdowns, through the first two games of the season, with opposing teams recording three touchdowns over 70 yards.
ODU (1-1) is also coming off a Week 2 loss, falling to North Carolina State 46-34. This is the first year at the Football Bowl Subdivision for the Monarchs, which officially joined Conference USA on July 1, 2014. EMU is 3-9 all-time against current Conference USA schools.
