MAC revenue increased 488% under College Football Playoff

7

In the last year of the BCS, the MAC got a payout of $2,394,206 from overall BCS revenues. In the first year of the College Football Playoff, that amount increased to an eye-popping $14,088,086, or more than $1 million per football member. The CFP may not be the fairest system, but at least with this small sample size, it's distributing a lot more money to G5 conferences than the BCS ever did.

The Lions really do love the MAC when it comes to UDFAs. Rob Bolden, once a highly-rated QB from Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School in Michigan, not finding a lot of success at Penn State, LSU or Eastern Michigan, will try to battle his way through the Detroit Lions mini-camp.

Catch a glimpse of future 2015 UMass kicker Mike Caggiano

+

Ain't that a beaut. UMass could use that leg on Saturdays for sure. Caggiano is part of the 2015 recruiting class and will be in a battle for place kicking responsibilities along with kickoffs. Given the state of the kicking game last year, Caggiano should be the front runner when he steps on campus.
