It appears that Fairfield High School wideout Herman Brunis' vist to Ohio this past weekend went swell, because he verbally committed to the Bobcats 2014 class on Saturday as first reported by Cincinnati Enquirer's Mike Dyer.

Ohio offered Brunis early last week, and the receiver waisted no time taking the Bobcats up on their offer. Brunis, an unranked receiver, is the third WR to commit to Ohio's 2014 class; joining 2-star wideout Chris Murray and unranked WR Andrew Meyer.
At 6-foot, 170 pounds Bruins is an average-sized receiver, who managed to haul in 40 passes for 716 yards and five touchdowns in his senior season. But with average (at best) speed (he runs a 4.76 40-yard-dash) and average physical attributes it's not hard to understand how his only other offers were from Saginaw Valley State and Urbana, a pair of Division II schools. Still, there was something that Frank Solich and his staff saw in in Brunis to extend him this offer, and he could be one of those diamond in the rough type players the MAC (and Ohio specifically) always seem to find.
With his commitment, it brings the official number of verbals for Ohio's 2014 class to 20.
