The quarterbacks keep rolling in for UMass, as Mark Whipple has a new commitment in Ross Comis. The 6'2 200 lb. QB visited UMass this past weekend and made his decision today to become a Minutemen.

Comis had interest from Pitt and West Virginia who offered him as a preferred walk-on, but UMass has offered him a full scholarship. Comis played his high school ball at Weirton Madonna High School in Weirton, West Virginia. He is a dual-threat quarterback that rushed for 1,942 yards with 35 TD's and passed for 1,688 with 22 TD's in his senior season.
Can't wait to work with the man @LiamCoen

The addition of Comis gives UMass three quarterback commits for 2014, as he joins fellow commits Randall West and Andrew Verboys. A.J. Doyle will be the favorite to win the job as the QB for the Minutemen coming into the 2014 season but he will face a lot of competition. Liam Coen will have a lot of young talented players to work with in his first season as quarterback coach.
