NIU has had success in recruiting the Sunshine State recently, including in this past season's recruiting class. Five of the 27 signed members of that class came from Florida, including the prized jewel of the class, high 3-star Deion Hallmon.

According to NCAA regulations Hill's commitment is non-binding. He cannot make it official until he signs a National Letter of Intent, players can't sign until Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015.
