2015 Miami Football Recruiting: OL Ian Leever Commits To RedHawks

The RedHawks' second verbal for 2015 is another three-star recruit.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

As we noted in our last post on Miami football recruiting, this weekend has been a big one for Chuck Martin and his staff, with fifty-two rising seniors in town to see John Harbaugh join the Cradle of Coaches and hear speeches from John and his brother Jim. And three-star MLB Carter Masek was joined by a second three-star recruit, offensive lineman Ian Leever from Loveland High School outside of Cincinnati.

As first reported by Ian Leever himself, he's the second member of the RedHawks' 2015 recruiting class:

Leever, who previously spoke with SB Nation's own Land-Grant Holy Land after an unofficial visit to Ohio State, chose Miami over offers from Cincinnati, Akron, Ball State, Kent State, Middle Tennessee State, and Toledo, plus interest from Ohio State and Louisville. He was a member of a Loveland offensive line that blocked for 4,000 yards of rushing, a 15-0 record, and an OHSAA Divsion II state title this year.

After two three-star commits in one weekend, both of whom had serious interest from high-level Big Ten programs, it's clear that Chuck Martin is a force to be reckoned with on the recruiting trail. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the 2015 class shapes up.
