After landing the commitments of Hubbard (OH) linebacker Tyler Taafe and Detroit Loyola defensive back Paul Engram over the weekend, Matt Campbell and the Toledo Rockets have added another verbal commitment to the class of 2015, as homegrown product, Ramon Miles, of Toledo Central Catholic decided to roll with UT over scholarship offers at Akron, Bowling Green and interest from a number of other schools last night.
"I picked Toledo because they are close to home and my parents and the rest of my family can come (watch me play)." The 6'4 270 pound, Miles told Hustle Belt of why he chose the Rockets over both the Zips and Falcons.

"The coaches are really cool and I feel like people I can just get used to being around. Another reason is the similarities my high school has to them in the way they run their plays and practices. " Miles stated as a few of the other things that made his college decision an easy one.
Just as every high school athlete wishes their recruiting process would end, Ramon shut his down rather smoothly.
"The commitment went good." Miles, who will be at this weekends UT spring game, said. "I spoke to my family and my coaches and called up their offensive line coach (Tom Manning) and told him that I wanted to commit. He said they were excited about me and can't wait for me to be apart of the family. It feels like a huge weight off my shoulders making the decision and I'm sure it is going to end up being a really great one."
Already one of the top teams in the conference, Campbell, Manning and the Rockets are trying to build a top tier winning program, year in and year out. Adding a prospect with the pedigree such as Miles' to the UT roster will only help them reach their plans sooner, as winning is something he is more than use to doing.
Last season at Central Catholic, Ramon was one of the main roadblocks for an elite Irish squad that finished the year 13-1 and made a run deep into the state playoffs.
