2015 Kent State Football Recruiting: RB Myles Washington talks commitment to the Golden Flashes

Kent State is having a huge weekend on the recruiting trail. After landing 3-star S Juantez McRae last night, the Golden Flashes landed another verbal from 2-star RB Myles Washington.

Back in the summer we interviewed Myles and he told us how excited he was to receive an offer from Kent State. He recalled the moment very specifically.

"I actually was on my home from a baseball game when my friend, Raekwon James, told me to call Coach Gamble. When I called coach, he told me that I had an offer and I just had to send him my test score and GPA. I got a call from him the next day and told me that I officially had an offer from Kent State."

Washington announced his decision on his Twitter page Sunday afternoon.

Washington played quarterback for his high school, however he will play running back at Kent State.

Washington committed while he was on his official visit with 9 other recruits, and chose the Golden Flashes over reported offers from Louisville and UTEP.

After his commitment, Washington told Hustle Belt some of his reasons for committing to Kent State.

"I just loved everything about it and it felt like family."

Washington stated his goals at Kent State are to get his degree because "education is the most important" and also he hopes to have a great career as a member of the Golden Flashes.
