2015 Kent State Football Recruiting: 3-star WR Antwan Dixon committed to the Golden Flashes

The Golden Flashes may have added the next Dri Archer in the commitment of WR Antwan Dixon. Kent State's already strong recruiting class got even stronger on Monday morning when Dixon committed to Kent State.

Dixon chose Kent State over listed offers from Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Appalachian State, Buffalo, and Florida Atlantic.

When we asked Dixon the reason he chose Kent State, he replied, "Dri Archer. And I was comfortable around the coaching staff and coach Haynes."

Dixon says he looks up to Dri Archer and models his game after the Kent State alum.

"I want to break some of Dri's records."

Dixon definitely has some big shoes to fill, however once watching his highlight tape it is rather easy to see the similarities between Archer and Dixon.

It is likely that we will see Dixon returning kicks at Kent State as he is an explosive kick returner. Having a quick, shifty receiver like Dixon will give coach Haynes plenty of options when it comes to play calling.

Over the past two weeks, Kent State has made some serious noise on the recruiting trail. It will be interesting to see if they have anything else up their sleeves before Wednesday.
