MACBats Humpday Headlines: Conference Shuffling Shaking Out

Can Kent State and Ball State hold their division leads or will each teams' upcoming schedule get the better of them?

With roughly one month to go before the MAC baseball tournament in Avon, OH on May 25, there is some considerable separation taking place within the Eastern and Western division as tournament seedings are grappled for. At the top of the East Division sits Kent State, behind a red hot 8 game win streak. Facing the Golden Flashes is a three-game home series with Miami this weekend which will provide some clarity on the MAC East.

In the West, it is still anyone's race, as there is only a three game difference from first to worst. Ball State leads the division, but as three game road series upcoming with the likes of Buffalo, Toledo, and Northern Illinois along with a three game home series with Eastern Michigan. Still much to be determined for the MAC postseason.
